I took a friend's advice as I have never used peppermint oil before, so I unsure what to do with it, but she recommends that I make a solution of 3/4 water, one bottle of 1 oz peppermint oil, and 3/4 cup of vodka and mix well in a spray bottle. I then sprayed this all over the house on the carpet, curtains, and floors. Now, our house smells like Christmas time.
