Abigail This is a cute book for children, but as a retired elementary school teacher I have a few minor issues with story. The main character "sneaks" into the grandparents attic to get to the magical bike. This teaches children that it is okay to sneak around to areas where you know you are not supposed to be of course, this would be an additional lesson I would have to teach IF I read this book to a group of children and have a discussion on right and wrong and following the rules. Yes, the character does helps other in the story by helping them find water, which is great. But, what lesson does she REALLY learn? Most stories for children should have a lesson they learn. I could build a geography lesson from this book possibly and build from that point of view. This is nice, classic, stylist watch which will last for a long time. The watch arrived with the time and date already set for my time zone, which was a very nice surprise to be able to pull it out of the box and put it on immediately. The band is light weight and in the extreme temperatures we are experiencing I did not sweat under the band. The face of the watch is easy to read. I was given several compliments when wearing it and had a few friends ask where I purchased it, as they would like get one as well. The stop watch is the only part I had an issue with; it would lose time instead of keep time when trying to use it. So, this made trying to use the feature for my purpose no good. But, I have something else I can always refer back to, so not really a huge deal. I was not sure about these when they first arrived but they have grown on me. But, I did have a few problems trying to install them: 1. The instruction sheet says to lay them out in numerical order, but you can't see the numbers on the laces very well. I would suggest putting the numbers in a different color, so they show up easily as I had to get a magnifying lenses to make out the numbers. 2. The laces do not work in shoes with the loops. The holes must be flat. 3. The plastic laces are not easy to get through the holes, so I would suggest a tool to push the lace through and a pair of a twisers to finish pulling it through the holes. Once you have them installed, it does take some time to get adjusted to wearing them as them do not allow for you to pull them tight like you can with shoelaces. But, after an hour or so I was over the feeling that I was going to lose my shoes. It was nice being able to slip in and out of my shoes without worrying about tying the laces with is a huge plus. Now, that they are installed this is one task that will be very helpful on my hands as I have arthritis in them. Wow, What a workout!!! I am out of shape so I started out using the green bands, which I think are made of a Latex type of material (so be cautious if you are allergic). I have not yet worked my way up to the other bands, but in testing them I can tell the resistance in them is a major difference. It will be a while before I make my way to the black (Ninja-as I call it) band. I did use the bands on my arms to work my upper body as well, even though the exercises I did were not described in the manual, they worked great to exercise the biceps, triceps, upper back, and shoulders. With a little imagination, this are the perfect workout for the full body for someone who travels or does not wish to have a house full of gym equipment that they may need use. As a woman, I have always worn ladies watches in the past, but this watch caught my eye. When it arrived for me to review my first thing which I wanted to give applause to the company for was sending it out with the correct time and date already displayed on the watch for my time zone, so when I pulled it out of the box it was ready to go. We are currently experiencing a heat wave with temperatures above 105 degrees each day, I have not noticed a color changed on my skin with the watch band as I have with others in the past. In wearing the watch during normal activities, it keeps time great. The mechanisms are extremely quiet so I do not hear them moving during the night and I love the huge face on the watch as it helps me to avoid eye strain. The rose gold and brown could easily be for both male or female. I will be recommending this watch to others. Excellent job!!! Haus & Garten Shears I have found a new tool for pruning my yard that I absolutely love!! I have arthritis in both hands so I am limited in my ability to squeeze tools and do pruning and clipping, so I was hesitant on if I would be able to even use this. When they arrived, I squeezed them with nothing in the blades, they worked very easily. I was very excited and ran outside to try them out first on the basil then the crape myrtles everything was cutting was easily with no trouble. My hands were not hurting and I was able to cut branches up to approximately 3/4” in thickness. The locking mechanism is very to work as well with one finger. Must require you to switch hands and use your dominate hand to flip the switch, these as smooth and allow the mechanism to flip easily. Kudos to this company for an excellent job and thinking about people who have trouble using their hands and who love to garden. I will be able to tackle my garden again.
